December 5—Friday

Leave the Lions Head Shopping Center in Somerdale at 8:00 am for Massachusetts with a rest stop en route before checking into your hotel, the Country Inn and Suites in Holyoke.  After some time to relax or enjoy the hotel pool, you will depart at 4:15 pm for a holiday dinner at historic Storrowton Village at the Big E in West Springfield.  On the way you will see six state capital in ten minutes!  At 7:30 pm you will return to the hotel where the evening is yours to enjoy as you wish.

 

December 6—Saturday

Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast at your hotel from 7:00-8:30 am before departing at 9:30 am for Magic Wings in South Deerfield where you can warm your body and soul at this 8,000 square foot conservatory, home to nearly 4,000 free-flying butterflies from all over the world—and birds, too.  At 11:15 you will leave from the Yankee Candle Flagship Store in Deerfield.  This store has more than candles—from the Christmas Shop to household items, whimsy and practical, and a thousand more things-this store is a potpourri of excitement.  Lunch is on your own at one of the many restaurants and cafes on the premises.  You’ll leave at 2:00 to drive through the historic 1660 Deerfield Village, the northernmost outpost of English colonial civilization.  Then it’s on to Richardson’s Candy Kitchen in Deerfield where they hand make chocolates and specialty candles using many of the kitchen’s original recipes that carry on a 50-year tradition.  You’ll return to the hotel at 3:30 with free time before departing for the Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield featuring 2.5 miles with over 500,000 twinkling lights illuminating historic Forest Park’s 750 acres with unforgettable images of holiday joy featuring the American Flag, the Garden of Peace, Seuss Land, Letters to Santa, Jurassic World, Spirit of the Season, Victorian Village, Leaping Frogs, North Pole Village, Winter Woods, Toy Land, Happy Holidays Springfield, a giant Poinsettia Candle and the Barney Mansion honoring the former owners of Forest Park.  We will go through twice, switching sides so everyone can see everything on both sides!  On the way to dinner you will have a surprise before arriving at Delaney House for a fantastic sit-down dinner in one of the Main House rooms with your choice of meal.  After dinner it’s just a short walk to your hotel next door.

 

December 7—Sunday

Luggage out by 8:30 am.  After a continental breakfast served from 7:00-9:00 am at the hotel, you will check out and depart for some Christmas shopping at Holyoke Mall at Inglesby.  Lunch is on your own at the mall.  Then it’s time to board the bus for home at 12:30 pm with a stop en route at the Route 83 Diner in Fishkill with an approximate arrival time of 6:30 pm in Somerdale.
