The mission of Senior Citizens United Community Services is to “enhance the quality of life, encourage independence and provide a safe and supportive living environment for older adults and adults with disabilities, especially those with the greatest socio-economic need.”
Our goal is to keep older adults and people with disabilities living independently and active in the community and prevent unnecessary institutionalization, by offering an array of services to address the needs of our consumers and provide support for their caregivers.

SCUCS recognizes the need for daily telephone calls to isolated and vulnerable seniors in our community and those with disabilities.
The Telephone Reassurance Program provides telephone contact for seniors who are home-bound or live alone. It insures that someone will have regular contact with the senior, to see how they are doing and to give them an opportunity to discuss how they are coping. In the instance that a specific need is identified, the caller (volunteer) will notify the proper agencies to provide additional services to the senior. This has been a successful program in many cities, saving countless lives, and is now offered to residents who live within Camden County.
To sign up for the program, or to become a volunteer, please call our office at (856) 456-1121.
ATTENTION: We are currently recruiting foster homes for seniors and adults with disabilities to live with a care provider. SCUCS will provide supervision and support while you earn tax free income. Call our office at (856) 456-1121 for more information.
SCUCS has funding to assist with back-bill shut-offs, heating, fuel and housing emergencies in Camden County. Call (856) 456-1121 to find out the requirement for each service.
